Founding member and owner of the SAF Entertainment Group, Studio 88 Swing, as well as the Canadian Swing Championships, Dee is a real workaholic!! Having always been passionate about jazz and blues, also having a strong affection for the "party" and having been in contact with hip-hop in his past, Dee very quickly got hooked on swing. His stage presence and charisma earned him the nickname "Charmin' Dee" early in his swing career. Dee has been hired as a swing instructor, DJ, MC and judge at major events across North America and overseas including the European Swing Championship (ESDC), World Lindy Hop Championship, Summer Hummer, Lindy Focus, Dance Renaissance, Balboa on the Promenade, Studio Hop Summer Camp, New Years Extravaganzza at Danvers MA, ALHC, Beantown, Le Québec Swing Rendez-Vous, New Year's Dancin' Eve, Toronto Open Swing Dance Championship, Canadian Balboa Championship, Le Festi- Montreal Swing, Camp Hollywood and the famous exchanges of Austin, Toronto, C-Rex and C-Dex. He has also become recognized on both sides of the border for his effective but above all entertaining style of teaching dance! With his MBA from Notre-Dame, and his experience as a consultant at McKinsey & Company, he shines beyond swing as Principal Director of DJF Consult and the real estate investment firm BLDG MWS. Dee has appeared in the Gazette, Clin d'Oeil, La Presse, Showcase Weddings, Progres Watchman, The McGill Reporter, La Nouvelle de Sherbrooke, Canoe.ca, Montreal Campus and the Taconic Press. He has been seen on Musique Plus, CTV, TVA, RDS, YTV, SRC, Canal Mlle, ARTV, BESO TV, and Argenteuil television. His voice has been heard on several radio channels: SRC radio1, CKUT, Argenteuil, JBCCS (Cree Nation) and CIBL.
Philippe & Flore Berne hail from France, and are now living and working in Montreal, Canada.
They come from two different backgrounds: Philippe from world of dance competition, and Flore from the world of social dancing. Their complementarity adds flow and uniqueness to their dance style.
They are renowned for their professionalism, their versatility, their passion and their devotion to their students and community. They nurture quality and hard work, always with a touch of humor. You have never attended one of their classes? Do not wait!
Today, they are emerging West Coast Swing Showcase Champions, and placed 5th in 2016 and 4th in 2017 at the US Open.
Alice Bourgasser was trained at National Choreographic Center of Roubaix as an interpreter and contemporary dance teacher, between 2013 and 2016. At the same time, she is also the founder of a dance company, named De l’Autre Côté du miroir and performs two solos on many stages in France, between 2014 and 2016. In September 2016, she begins a master thesis in dance at UQAM in Montreal. Her research master’s degree focuses on Whitey’s Lindy Hoppers’ dancing, lindy-hop pioneer dancers. Since 2016, she is practicing and teaching both contemporary and swing (mostly solo jazz and lindy-hop), at Studio 88 Swing. Alice started the swing contest circuit since 2017 and won gold medals in both lindy-hop (Advanced strictly, routine and luck of the draw ILHC 2022) and solo jazz (Advanced division at Stompology 2019, short showcase O-town Showdown 2019). She started to teach internationally since 2019 in France, UK, Canada and US. Since 2022, Alice is doing her doctoral studies in dance at UQAM.
Choreographer, teacher, performer, DJ, MC and social dancer, Michel Campeau is an acomplished dancer and an artist at heart. He values the connection between dancers and finding pleasure through the feeling of movement, wether it be in solo or partner dancing. Michel has been dancing and competing since 2015 and has since been international champion through Lindy hop teams and his partnership with Alice Bourgasser.
Starting first with solo dances during her childhood, her steps led her to discover the universe of the 1950s during her adolescence. As part of the first group of students of the JiveStudio dance school, it was not long before she fell in love with the Rockabilly Jive. Then, over the years, Sandrine met many other swing dances! Balboa, Lindy Hop, Boogie Woogie and West Coast Swing were now part of the range of dances that had conquered our young dancer. However, her passion for the Jive having remained intact, it is with the greatest enthusiasm that in the summer of 2011, she gave a Rockabilly Jive workshop in England. Since then, Sandrine has accumulated more than forty medals in Balboa, Lindy Hop, Boogie Woogie and Jive, all across America and Europe. She therefore decides to participate in the creation of an event that would allow all these dances to come together for a weekend; the Dig Tha' Feet! After having been a teacher for Jivestudio and Swing Danse Montreal, she now has been teaching at Studio 88 Swing and coordinating at the Canadian Swing Championships for ten years. Her undying love for the swing dances brought her to teach on the TV Show Les Dieux de la Danse and to be a dance consultant on the Footloose musical.
