Rudi’s path is one of embodiment. After being obsessed with and absorbed by Basketball in his teenage years, he discovered Capoeira and Contact Improv at age 20 and quickly made these practices his laboratory for self-encounter. This led to 5 years of full-time professional training in Postmodern Dance. After his formal studies, Rudi’s interest – besides performing and teaching – shifted to House and other African American dance styles, which he’s been a student of for the past 5 years. In 2020, somehow frustrated with almost exclusively dancing solo, Rudi ran into Lindy Hop and quickly caught fire about it. He has been learning everything he can about Lindy Hop ever since.
