We encourage everyone to take at least one 6-count beginner course and at least one 8-count beginner course.

Details

There are two main rhythm patterns in Lindy Hop, both integral parts of the dance, 6-count and 8-count. The July/August course focuses on 8-count. The June/July courses focused on 6-count. The course is five weeks long with a one hour class each week.
Runs on Wednesdays from July 20, 27, August 3, 10, 17.

At a bare minimum you have taken both our 6-count and our 8-count beginner courses, or the equivalent of that. We encourage you to take several beginner courses and several workshops, with different teachers, before taking this workshop.

Prerequirement

You have at a bare minimum taken our Lindy Hop Intermediate Level One course, plus several Lindy Hop workshops, and preferably at least two Lindy Hop Intermediate Level One Courses with different teachers, or the equivalent of that. And you have regularly attended Lindy Hop dances for months, or have regularly practiced Lindy Hop for months with someone who is at the least at an intermediate level. And you can comfortably do partnered Charleston.
