Finally! An intermediate-level workshop for Balboa dancers who are very comfortable with the basics of Balboa and ready for more Balboa shapes (rotational vs. linear, toss-outs and out & in variations), refinement in their dance movement and more creativity.
This workshop is for newer Balboa dancers who can comfortably do the basics of Balboa, and for intermediate Balboa dancers who want to finesse their techniques and learn other moves and unique variations.
Michael Huynh & Jackie Spicer
Michael Huynh has been a dedicated dancer for many years, and is a talented musician and DJ. Travelling the world, he has competed in ballroom and studied at numerous Balboa and Lindy advanced workshops. He collaborated at Hammer Hoppers and has taught workshops and given lessons in Balboa and Lindy in Toronto, Waterloo, Hamilton and London.
Jackie Spicer has co-taught Swing Toronto Balboa and Slow Balboa progressive classes, and teaches pre-band classes in Balboa, Blues and Lindy at live music venues in Toronto. She has studied and dances in multiple genres, first learning swing from her competitive dancer parents as a young girl. Her Balboa training includes private classes and intensive advanced Balboa weekend workshops with different international instructors.
