Solo Vernacular Jazz Two Day Workshop
Learn new Solo Jazz moves. Play with rhythm, timing, and variations.
Turn simple moves into endless possibilities. Create your own short solo jazz routine(s).
Explore call-and-response and dancing with others. Build confidence in jam circles. Celebrate creativity, communication, and the joy of improvisation.
Whether you’re looking to boost your solo dancing, add new ideas to your Lindy Hop, or feel more at home in a jam circle, this workshop is all about experimenting, connecting, and having fun.
Designed for those ready to break out of the “doing the moves” mindset, and start really playing with jazz.
Build your improvisation toolbox, connect and jam.

You have completed at least two Lindy Hop beginner courses, at least one emphasizing 8-count and one emphasizing 6-count. You are familiar with the fundamentals of Lindy Hop, and can do basic 6 & 8 count moves.

Topic: Shape, Rhythm & Energy as Tools for Musicality
Great for dancers who are looking for specific techniques and exercises to diversify their dancing and increase musicality.
BONUS: If you take the intermediate workshop, you are welcome to stay for the beginner workshop, free of charge in the same role as your intermediate registration.
Note that Saturday Night Swing that night is at the same venue as the workshop.
