This seven week course explores what happens with our dancing and energy as the tempo goes down. We will touch on triple steps technique, work on our turns and spins, and blend Blues elements into our slow dancing.
And remember – dancing Lindy Hop slower is more difficult than dancing it faster!

Students are invited to arrive early at 6:35pm, and practice for five minutes before class starts at 6:40pm

Lindy Hop Intermediate 2 is in select topics chosen by the teachers, with a different topic each time.

You’ve been learning Bal for at least 3 months (2+ sessions of our Beginner/Intro courses) or have equivalent workshop experience. You have familiarity with all the basic Pure Bal and Bal Swing shapes and connections. These include: Uphold basic, Downhold basic, Scoots, Paddles, Come Around, Out and Ins, Lollies, Swivels, and Toss Outs. Ideally you have practiced or gone social dancing a bit to start to really ingrain those movements!

In this course you’ll work on building vocabulary that augments or changes your basic balboa shapes, with a focus on good technique and having fun with your partner. We will work on refining your connection dynamics and introducing flow and bi-directional partner communication into our dancing.
This is one of four distinct Intermediate Balboa courses that can be taken in any order. Completion of all 4 courses or equivalent experience is a prerequisite for moving into the Intermediate-Advanced/Advanced Balboa class.
