Come, chill & dance to music that you can Blues, Slow Bal, or Slow Swing to (or any other dance that makes you happy!).
We are delighted to have Nicholas Campbell and The Metre Cheaters, with Jeanne Truax (keys, vocals), for our Tiki/Hawaii/Beach Dance Party!
Hawaiian, Tiki and Beach themed attire is encouraged, but also entirely optional.
La Plaza has a full bar, including excellent Tiki Cocktails, a large dance floor (for a bar), and good eats at reasonable prices.
Great music for swing dancing! Including for Lindy Hop, Collegiate Shag, Rockabilly Jive, East Coast Swing and more. Doing Lindy Hop to Rockabilly and Rock ‘n Roll music is different from doing it to the classic swing music it was created with.
Band plays til 10pm, two long sets. DJ’d music on band break and til 10:30pm.

We are delighted to have the Ben Harvey Combo back for a “FAST FEET” Saturday Night Swing!
Learn Balboa and Lindy Hop, joyful classic Swing Dances done around the world. The Lindy Hop lesson will be more oriented to faster tempos than usual. Balboa is usually done to faster tempos.
Come and dance to faster tempos. See or do Charleston, Balboa, Faster Lindy Hop, and Collegiate Shag.
The first set will have the same tempos as usual. The second and third sets will have lots of fast tunes, as well as middling and slower tempos.
